Diocese honors Dorothy Moore of Gulf Breeze


The Diocese has honored Dorothy Moore of St. Francis, Gulf Breeze, as a “Distinguished Woman of the Episcopal Church." Outgoing Bishop Philip Duncan and incoming Bishop Russell Kendrick joined in making the award.

Moore is a longtime member of St. Francis where she has served the parish in many capacities. Her ministries include altar guild, Eucharistic minister and visitor, and prayer minister. She is a graduate of Education for Ministry (EfM) and a regular attendee of several Bible study groups. She has served as diocesan Episcopal Church Women (ECW) President and Treasurer, on the diocesan Altar Guild, and on staff for Cursillo many times. Moore has also been a delegate for the Women’s Triennial, a national gathering of Episcopal women, three times.
