One of the residential homes at Beckwith has several years of deferred maintenance. Men of the diocese are gathering to update this residence for living quarters for Daniel McMullen, the new Director of Operations (pictured right), who is currently living in a camper adjacent to the house. The first scheduled work days are December 1, 2, and 3, 2016, to get things started. We would greatly appreciate it if you consider lending a helping hand on one or more of these days. Even if you are not a carpenter or painter or plumber, we can most likely find something for you to do to help with this project. Details will be forthcoming of the work to be done on these dates as the specific work will be a function of the manpower available. We will most likely NOT finish the job on these dates as there is more work than can be done in 3 days. We are gathering men of the diocese to help Beckwith with this project. The two story, 4-bedroom, 2 bath house is structurally sound but needs a lot of work: painting, plumbing, replace flooring, complete the back porch, repair the front porch, etc. This is a wonderful opportunity for the men of our diocese to come together to put our time and talents to God’s work. Spread the word and please let me know if you would be available to help with this project. Contact me at warren@jerrems.com Overnight dorm accommodations and meals will be provided by Beckwith.
